Talent Management | Consultancy Services

 
DeltaNet's Talent Management consultancy service uses a five stage approach to developing our technology driven projects.
  • Project start-up
  • Design phase
  • Managing the development
  • Acceptance phase
  • Project close out
Each of these stages is described in more detail below.

Project Start-Up

During the project start-up phase we will work with your project management team to complete a detailed project and resource plan that clearly identifies key project milestones and resource requirements at each stage.

Design Phase

The next stage of the project is to meet with the business areas to scope the user requirements, skills profiling and competency maps. During this process we will translate the user requirements into a detailed functional specification that will:
  • Confirm the user requirements
  • Confirm the technical environment
  • Describe how the system will be developed to achieve these requirements
  • Provide sample screen images to represent the user interface
  • Describe the business rules and workflow processes
  • Confirm the core competency framework and job roles
  • Define the assessment criteria and develop the question bank
  • Confirm user inputs and system outputs
  • Detail the database schema
During this phase we will work closely with your project team to define the system in detail while also working with subject matter experts to map out the specific content for the system.

Managing the Development

A number of controls will be used to manage the project and will include:
  • Regular meetings (frequency to be determined by the relevant project managers).
    • Updated project status against plan
    • Resource planning
    • Risk log/mitigation
    • Change control process
    Your project team would need to review and comment on work completed at regular stages of the development life cycle.

    Acceptance Phase

    Acceptance criteria will be established from the functional specification, and detailed test scripts produced to measure all the requirements to ensure they have been fully met. These will be agreed between the two parties and will form the basis of the acceptance for the system. Each time a change request is approved, changes to the acceptance criteria and test scripts will be made.

    After the program and system testing has been completed, a copy of the system will be deployed into a test environment for initial system testing. Once this is approved the system will be deployed into the live area for UAT.

    Project Close Out

    On close out of the project (after formal acceptance has been received), DeltaNet will provide a full set of documentation and will facilitate a handover training/orientation session to your designated administrators.

    Support Services

    Documentation

    DeltaNet will provide you with user manuals specifically designed for your implementation of Talent Watch. The manuals will be provided electronically in Microsoft Word format, as well as hard copy. In addition to this the following technical documentation will also be provided:
    • Detailed functional specification
    • Database schema design
    • Acceptance scripts
    • Technical documentation

    Training

    We will provide detailed training for administrators, allowing them to become self sufficient with setting up and implementing the system and preparing management reports.

    Project Launch Day's

    If required DeltaNet can provide a 'Talent Watch kick off' presentation session and deliver it to key users at designated sites, introducing them to the system, demonstrate key features and explain the business and personal benefits of using the system, with the purpose being to gain user acceptance and line management buy in.

    Support

    DeltaNet operate a dedicated telephone and email support facility, and this will be available to all administrators. Problems that cannot be resolved via these methods will be resolved with an onsite visit. A service level agreement will be set-up as part of the contract which will cover the times of service provision, response times, resolution times, escalation procedures and service credits.

    Warranty

    DeltaNet offers a warranty period against any problems or issues after project sign off. The warranty period will commence following sign off of UAT, and will last for a period of 12 weeks. Any problems that arise and are reported during this period will be fixed on a free of charge basis.

    Maintenance and Software Upgrades

    DeltaNet will provide all system upgrades for Talent Watch as part of our standard maintenance and support process ensuring you always have the very latest version and maximum functionality.
