Business Essentials | Safeguarding e-learning

Safeguarding Young People and Vulnerable Adults

In recent years there has been increasing concern about the safety and welfare of both young people and vulnerable adults.

All Government agencies working with young people and vulnerable adults must take reasonable measures to ensure that the risks of harm to the individual's welfare are minimised; and where there are concerns about people's welfare, they must all take appropriate actions to address those concerns, working to agreed local policies and procedures, working in partnership with other local agencies.

Every individual deserves the chance to have the best life that they can, to be given a chance to reach their potential and achieve their goals. If your employees work with young people or vulnerable adults they are in the front line and play a critical role in making sure that those individuals get the best possible opportunity to develop into valuable members of society. They will need regular safeguarding training if they are to do this effectively.

Traditional face to face safeguarding training courses are expensive to run; take your employees away from the workplace and involve an administrative burden. Record keeping is a manual process making it more difficult to prove employees have been effectively trained in safeguarding.

Using an effective safeguarding e-learning course is easily the most cost efficient method for rolling out safeguarding training; employees don’t have to take time away from the workplace to attend a safeguarding course; instead they can learn at a time and place to suit themselves.

DeltaNet has developed an innovative safeguarding e-learning course that ensures your employees understand their responsibilities in this important role by providing a comprehensive introduction to the safeguarding process.

The 30 minute safeguarding e-learning course covers several key topics:
  • What is safeguarding
  • Why safeguarding is important
  • What abuse is
  • Who is affected by safeguarding
  • Individual responsibilities for safeguarding
  • The consequences of not following safeguarding procedures
Please click on the links to find out more.

The safeguarding e-learning course is available as a generic course as part of our low cost annual subscription or can be fully customised to meet your specific requirements including branding, overall look and feel, (local language and terminology, video, graphics or voiceovers) and policy, process and procedural changes to ensure each course meets your specific needs.

DeltaNet makes every effort to ensure the content of all Business Essentials course is fit for purpose. However, we know that every organisation has different needs. It is, therefore, up to each individual organisation to verify that the content is suitable for their needs. We will provide guest access to enable you to check this before you commit to purchase.
